Bio

I have worked for over 30 years styling and designing interiors, room sets, homewares, food shoots and ad campaigns.  During that time, I developed a passion for vessels and decorative ceramic forms and started studying and working with clay in 2015.  After retirement in late 2020 I was finally able to pursue this love on a full time basis and have completed a Diploma of Ceramics.

Everything I do is based on a black or white palette.  The foundations of my works are wheel formed then I add, alter and attach elements to achieve interesting pieces.

There is a connection between nature and design in my works.  Their surfaces must have visual or textural interest, matt, glossy, rough or smooth.

As a perfectionist I avoid perfectionism in my ceramic process.  They are not functional, they just are.
